Orders

Information about the analyses offered at Clinical Genomics see Sample requirements.

To discuss new projects, contact us by creating a new ticket in our communication tool Supportsystem here.

The samples can be sent using options in section "Delivery of samples" below. Always used closed envelopes to make sure sample identity/name is not exposed.
Dry ice can only be used for RNA samples, not DNA.

Placing an order

Start by making sure that the samples fulfill our sample requirements and are sent in an appropriate container.

An order can be placed through an orderform which is uploaded to the Order portal or through the Order portal directly. You need to be a registered user to be able to place an order. If you are not, contact us through Supportsystem here.

Note! Orders cannot contain any personal names or other personal information about patients due to GDPR.

When the order is placed, a ticket is automatically created in SupportSystem. The sample container needs to be marked with the ticket number. This is of great importance to be able to trace the samples to the correct order. The box which the samples are delivered in, needs to be clean from contaminations since the personnel receiving the delivery do not wear any protective clothes.

Instruction for placing different types of orders

Sequencing and analysis of human samples

  • For whole genome sequencing, exome sequencing, panel sequencing and transcriptome sequencing
  • Use this orderform (recommended if sending multiple samples) or place the order directly through the order portal (recommended if sending single samples)
  • Click here for ordering instructions

Sequencing and raw data delivery of human samples

  • For whole genome sequencing, exome sequencing, panel sequencing and transcriptome sequencing
  • Use this orderform (recommended if sending multiple samples) or place the order directly through the order portal (recommended if sending single samples)
  • Click here for ordering instructions

Analysis of externally sequenced human samples

  • For whole genome sequenced samples, exome sequenced samples and transcriptome sequenced samples for analysis
  • Use this orderform (recommended if sending multiple samples) or place the order directly through the order portal (recommended if sending single samples)
  • Click here for ordering instructions

Sequencing of ready-made libraries

  • Use this orderform (recommended if sending multiple samples) or place the order directly through the order portal (recommended if sending single samples)
  • Click here for ordering instructions

Sequencing and analysis of microbial whole genome samples

  • Use this orderform (recommended if sending multiple samples) or place the order directly through the order portal (recommended if sending single samples)
  • Click here for ordering instructions

Sequencing and analysis of metagenomic samples

  • Use this orderform (recommended if sending multiple samples) or place the order directly through the order portal (recommended if sending single samples)
  • Click here for ordering instructions

Weekly schedule

To be able to start the library preparation, the order of the samples needs to be placed and the samples have been received by Clinical Genomics. The dates and time below show the start of the library preparation:

  • Whole Genome Sequencing of human DNA: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 08.30
  • Whole Genome Sequencing of human DNA with "Low input" protocol: Thursdays at 08.30
  • Panel- and Whole Exome Sequencing: Mondays and Wednesdays at 08.30
  • Transcriptome Sequencing (RNA-seq): Mondays at 08.30
  • Whole Genome Sequencing of microbial DNA (routine/diagnostic): Wednesdays at 08.30
  • Ready Made Libraries (RML), sent in for sequencing: Thursdays at 15.00 or by agreement
  • Large research projects: by agreement

Samples that are received after 08.30 will get the arrival date of the upcoming weekday.

Note: We will contact you through SupportSystems if the samples do not pass the reception control (and you have stated in the order that you want to the contacted) and the samples will be library prepared with the next scheduled library preparation.

Prioritization of samples

For pricing and turn-around times, see your contract.

  • Research: Samples will be library prepared according to the schedule

  • Clinical Trial: Samples will be library prepared according to the schedule

  • Standard: Samples (diagnostic) will be library prepared according to the schedule

  • Priority: Samples (diagnostic) will be library prepared according to the schedule, but the samples will be prioritized. For example a prioritized sample will be sequenced before a "standard" sample, in case of capacity limitations in the sequencing instrument. No extra cost will be invoiced but it anticipates "fair usage".

  • Express: Samples (diagnostic) will be library prepared and sequenced outside the weekly schedule. Expected delivery time is 5-7 days, depending on available personnel and the week day that the samples are received. An extra cost of 5000kr will be invoiced per sample.
Please contact us through support@clinicalgenomics.se for express samples requests. State your name and phone number and we will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss availability for this prioritization.
